Case Study - Contract Cleaning - Safety First

Aggregate Industries is a new client to our portfolio. Spread over 80 acres in the heart of Derbyshire this site is complex with a variety of hazards. Health & Safety is paramount in any contract & in particular at Aggregate Industries where we had to call in the experience of our NEBOSH qualified Health & Safety Officer Sally Gorman to assess the risks.
A meeting was called for all CCL staff that would have contact on this site to attend a health & safety induction by the client. A site walk around was then completed taking in all routes that would be occupied by our operatives, assessing the risks and hazards that they will be faced with on a daily basis.
This information will be written up to provide a full and thorough Health & Safety document highlighting the hazards and how to control the risk of that hazard by taking the appropriate Health & Safety Action.
All operatives will be given a Health & Safety Induction as well as quarterly tool box talks to ensure there is continual awareness to the risks involved in working on this site.
