Our discussions started in June of this year to become the preferred Vending supplier to Doncasters Bramah at their site in Sheffield where 260 people are employed over a three shift system. This project was to be linked in with the sizeable investment from the company to upgrade the onsite facilities for their employees in particular the restaurant area. The proposed vending offer was to include a choice of hot and cold drinks, chilled food and a range of snacks and confectionery.
We arranged a food sampling session for the employees and they were able to sample the wide range of chilled food available from our Premier Food vending range including the following:
The overall response was that there was an excellent choice of food, of very good quality and - most importantly - well priced!
The next stage was the drinks sampling. We visited a site that we operated locally for the tasting of Accolade drinks. Within minutes it was agreed that the quality was very good and a significant improvement on the current machines. We then agreed to provide a choice of drinks to suit all employees' tastes and budgets!
Three days after notice was served on the incumbent they arrived at site to decommission and uplift their machines leaving the employees with no means of a drink!! Our team leapt into action and we installed temporary machines to provide hot drinks, snack and cold drinks within 24 hours.
The machines were to be housed in a bespoke housing which was to be manufactured by our design partner Nebrak. The wheels were set in motion and we had a target date of early September for the completion and launch of the new facility. In the first week of September the housing was built onsite and the machines installed with the launch of the new facility taking place the following week aptly named 'Hell's Kitchen'.
We are constantly reviewing the range of food for the chilled food vendors to meet the demands of the customers and soliciting feedback from the employees.
We then introduced our cleaning division and after a successful quote for daily cleaning services was submitted, we were able to provide dual services and the benefits that one provider brings. The contract commenced in September and we have worked hard with the onsite team to improve the standards of cleaning and bespoke the cleaning schedules to make them site specific, ensuring they met the needs of the site and the client.
Establishing good working relationships and our flexibility and ability to bespoke our services were key to the success of this partnership.
