As success stories go this one has a quirky beginning – for whoever said that good marketing doesn’t pay ... think again!
It all began one day when the proprietor of a family owned Fruit & Vegetable Wholesalers was driving in Leeds and pulled up behind one of our newly liveried vans. The imposing pictures of a vending machine, happy chef and smiling cleaning lady made him think ‘I must sort out a vending solution’. Thankfully Richard made a note of our number from the van and called our office the very next day!
Within the week we had turned around a vending proposal that fully encompassed their requirements. Previously there was no vending on site but as they employed in excess of 40 staff they could see not only the benefits to staff morale by installing a hot and cold drinks provision, but also it got around the health and safety issue of people making their own drinks!
Having not had vending machines before they were understandably cautious about wanting to sign up for a lengthy term initially – our flexibility was key here and we are now over 6 months in and looking to develop the service to encompass food vending - so a true success story.... from a quirky beginning to a happy ending!
