Raspberry Champagne Cocktail
Add a real sparkle to your party with this fruity, bubbly drink!
Serves 8
Preparation Time: Around 5 minutes
Ingredients:
- 3tbsp Crème de Cassis
- Bottle of chilled Champagne
- A handful of raspberries
Method:
- Pour the Crème de Cassis into 8 champagne flutes
- Slowly pour the bottle of chilled Champagne into the 8 glasses
- Just before serving drop a few raspberries into each drink
Appleberry Mulled Wine
This mulled wine recipe is packed with cinnamon and berry flavours – a real winter warmer!
Serves 12
Preparation Time: Around 25-30 minutes
Ingredients:
- 2 x 75cl red wine (for example Merlot)
- 1 ltr cloudy apple juice
- 115g caster sugar
- 1 long cinnamon stick, broken in half
- 2 Star Anise
- 2 tbsp orange Curacao or Cointreau
- Approx. 4oz/100g frozen mulled fruits/fruits of the forest
- 3 small red skinned apples, sliced into rings
Method:
- Pour the wine and apple juice into a large saucepan and add the sugar, cinnamon stick and star anise. Heat gently, stirring once or twice, until the sugar has dissolved, then continue heating gently for another 15 minutes.
- Just before serving, swirl in the Curacao or Cointreau, throw in the frozen fruits and add the apple slices.
Bicerin – coffee & chocolate drink
This is a luxurious coffee-and-chocolate drink topped with cream, originating from Turin.
Serves 2
Ingredients:
- A jug of good quality drinking chocolate
- Strong espresso
- Single cream
- Sugar – to taste
Method:
- Make up a jug of good quality drinking chocolate and make some strong espresso.
- Third-fill two glasses with the coffee, adding sugar to taste.
- Add another third of chocolate.
- Whisk some single cream until frothy, pour over the mocha so it sits on the top. Drink and enjoy!
