The leader of Kirklees Council, Mehboob Khan, has thanked CSG for their very kind donations of raffle prizes for the Pakistani Flood Appeal which, combined with other fund raising activities, helped to raise £4,800 towards the current total of £12,500.
CSG were approached by the Council and were more than happy to provide three raffle prizes, a vacuum cleaner, a Fairtrade Hamper and a supply of coffee for a year - each prize representing the services provided by CSG - cleaning, catering and vending.
Councillor Khan confirmed that the donation provided will help make a difference to the people of Pakistan whose homes and livelihoods have been destroyed in what the UN is describing as the worst natural disaster since the 2004 Ocean Tsunami.
The aim of KIrklees Council, under a United banner, is to reach a target of £125K, which would then be used to sponsor a mixed faith (Christian/Muslim) village in an area affected by the floods.
