CSG Sponsors Mt Kilimanjaro Climb in aid of Childreach International - July 2010
CSG were approached earlier this year by a local student Anna Teale, for sponsorship in her quest to climb Mt Kilimanjaro.
Anna, from Norristhorpe, is currently studying at Nottingham University and was part of a group of 37 people who were raising money for Childreach International. The money raised is helping children in Africa have a better education and improve the facilities in the schools, allowing water pumps to be installed and planting trees which will provide shade in the hot summers.
The group began climbing on 23rd June 2010 and finished on the 29th. It was the first time that a group had climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro and had a 100% success rate.
Anna said it was easily the biggest success of her life to date and that it had been an enormous mental challenge.
